About Me

Hi! I'm Niki Neumann and I am from Arlington Heights, Illinois. I started my travel blog in September 2019 to keep my family and friends updated on my Peace Corps service. I taught high school English in Indonesia and worked as a teacher trainer from September 2019-March 2020. Sadly, I was evacuated along with over 7,000 volunteers worldwide due to COVID-19.

After leaving Indonesia, my partner, Daniel Mariani, and I took on teaching positions at Ayeywarddy International School in Mandalay, Myanmar. We both taught first grade from August 2020-May 2021. Afterwards, we moved to Costa Rica and taught there from July 2021-June 2022. We then lived and taught in Budapest, Hungary from July 2022-June 2023.
