Summer Bucket List Ideas for Adults

Although we're now a ways into the summer, it's never too late to make a bucket list full of fun activities! Below are a list of 10 ideas for you to add to your summer bucket list. Pick up a pencil and create your list now!

1. Visit a Trampoline Park

If you've never been to a trampoline park, you are missing out. Parks like Sky Zone offer huge areas of free jumping, basketball, dodgeball, and a foam zone. If you're looking for something with even more thrills, check out Urban Air. Urban Air offers all of the above plus a high ropes course, sky coaster, obstacle courses, jousting, and more. We are HUGE fans of a day at a trampoline park here at the Neumann house. Worried about feeling too old? Both parks offer adult only events so that you can jump away without being afraid of landing on any small children.

2. Visit a Water Park

Another great idea for thrill seekers is to visit a water park! Bring out the inner kid in you and visit your favorite water park. Growing up in Wisconsin, we were regular visitors of Noah's Ark Waterpark in the Wisconsin Dells. No matter where you choose to go, don't forget to bring sun block! The sun isn't as forgiving as it was when you were a kid.

3. Go to the Beach

You can never go wrong with a beach day. Pack some snacks and drinks and head down to the closest beach. It could be a lake, ocean, any sort of body of water will do. If there are some waves, you can go boogie boarding or just wade in the water. Reading is also one of the best beach activities.

4. Go Camping

Badlands National Park, South Dakota.

There's no better feeling than staying up late talking around the campfire and sleeping under the stars. Pack your bags and a tent and go camping! Can't go far? No problem, camping in your backyard is just as fun.

5. Shop at a Farmer's Market

Produce tastes the best in the summer so why not visit your local farmer's market and support local farmers as well? The Arlington Heights Farmers Market takes place every Saturday morning through the end of October. Better yet, try to find one while traveling! When I was in Seattle a few years ago, it was so much fun exploring this famous farmers market.

6. Go for a Bike Ride

Grab your bike and get some exercise by going on a little evening bike ride. It's the perfect family activity. Just look at Dan and Sam!

7. Have a Water Balloon Fight!

Cool off by having a water balloon fight with friends or family! Rather not use water balloons? Grab the hose and a bucket instead!

8. Eat Ice Cream

Another great way to cool off from the summer heat is to grab an ice cream cone or two. Don't forget to celebrate National Ice Cream Day on July 17th!

9. Have a Campfire

My goddaughter, Madeline, and I making pudgie pies!

There's nothing like making a good S'mores and telling scary stories around the campfire. Ever had a pudgie pie? If you haven't, here's your sign to make them ASAP! We're fans of the pizza ones but you can make them any way you want.

10. Go on a Road Trip

Take a break from your 9-5 and go on a road trip! Near or far, you'll be sure to have a great time. Don't forget the snacks! Pro-tip- Make a roadtrip playlist that you and your fellow travelers are sure to love.
