Hi everyone! I'm back after a short three week hiatus. Between the last week of school, Kendall and Jeremy visiting us in Costa Rica, and the move back to the U.S. for the summer, it's been a busy last few weeks. Although I will be back with more blog posts soon to recap all of the above, today I will be sharing a very exciting life update!
Shortly after returning from winter break, we made the decision to leave Monteverde at the end of the school year. We began the job search shortly after. Dan and I both agreed that we want to continue to teach internationally. After many emails, submitted job applications, and interviews, we were so grateful to have a few different offers to choose the best fit from. After a lot of discussion and careful consideration, we accepted job offers in....
BUDAPEST!
That's right, we are heading to Hungary! We are so excited to begin our next chapter exploring Europe! We accepted offers for an incredible organization, Bilingual Hungary. I will be working as an ESL teacher with elementary age students in Budapest public schools. Dan will be working as an ESL teacher as well but with high school age students. We will be leaving the states at the end of July for this next great adventure. Our contracts are one year in length with the opportunity to extend if we decide to do so.
I could not be more excited for what this next chapter holds and I'm so grateful to have the best partner in Dan to be doing this with. Stay tuned for more Budapest content. Thank you to my family and friends who fully support me as I begin this transition. If you have been to Budapest or know someone who has, I would love to get in touch!
